OVERVIEW
The SD Karaoke App is a digital counterpart to the Passion Guide booklet. Within the app, users can easily locate karaoke bars in the San Diego area, select songs, and join the queue for their turn to sing. Additionally, users can follow other singers, favorite songs, add songs to the queue, and earn badges for singing with others. The app provides visibility into the queue, estimated wait times, and offers reviews of each karaoke bar.
SOLUTION
The solution is a retro-branded karaoke app that encourages users to engage with their community, their friends at home, and easily navigate the San Diego Karaoke scene.
THE SPINNING RECORD
The spinning record was a brand element that was used in the print piece and so it was carried over to the app as a loading element and a badge that users of the app can earn.
VINTAGE MICROPHONE
Using Procreate, this vintage microphone was illustrated to work as a brand pattern, a badge within the app, and an icon for karaoke.
