OVERVIEW

The Sing Your Heart Out passion guide is tailored for adults over 21 in San Diego, whether locals or visitors. Whether you're a seasoned Karaoke enthusiast or just seeking a lively night out, this guide is your ultimate companion. Packed with essential information to kickstart your evening, it offers insights into the history of Karaoke, a curated selection of classic karaoke songs, a handy map of San Diego, and highlights for three top bars in the city for a memorable singing experience.

SOLUTION

Karaoke was invented in the 70's and became popular in the 80's, therefore the brand strategy utilizes retro fonts and a limited color palette to evoke a sense of nostalgia and fun, while also appealing to a wide audience both young and matured in age.

TYPOGRAPHY

There was a combination of four typefaces utilized for this project. For the title I used Prisma and Xtreem Medium to showcase a recognizable and nostalgic 80’s aesthetic. For the rest of the booklet the main body copy is Monserrat for it’s approachable and rounded characteristics and the quotes were typed in Intro Inline.

COLOR PALETTE

The color palette takes cues from the iconic three-colored rainbows often seen in 70s and 80’s posters, with influences from the Commodore 64 aesthetic. These vibrant hues evoke a sense of nostalgia while infusing the booklet with a retro charm.
