Overview
During a karaoke night with friends, I noticed how often great nights are derailed by long waits and confusing sign-ups. I designed a karaoke app to solve common frustrations like unpredictable wait times, outdated venue info, and accurate vibe checks.
BRIEF
Why is it impossible to have a spontaneous night out singing Karaoke?
For something so fun, karaoke is surprisingly chaotic. Across a myriad of reviews and interviews, the same themes appeared again and again when it comes to going out to sing karaoke:
Unpredictable wait times
Song queues are invisible
Bar information online is outdated
Discovery is broken
Existing apps prioritize monetization over usability (TouchTunes, Singa).

Experimenting with Figma Make
To accelerate the ideation phase, I utilized Figma Make to explore various user flows. This rapid prototyping allowed me to stress-test features early in the process. The final UI and UX evolved from these experiments, leading to a custom prototype and a refined design system that I built entirely from scratch in Figma.
